Lighting

The purpose of this article is to clarify the various uses of the lighting settings. The lighting planning feature generates the expected lighting schedule for the coming days. Along with the global radiation forecast, this data serves as the foundation for various other algorithms in Crop Controller.

How Does This Functionality Work?

Crop Controller generates the expected lighting hours for different lighting groups in the coming days. The lighting schedule is converted into radiation data, which is then combined with global radiation to calculate total radiation intensity and sum. This data is used for temperature management and other functions.

How to Set Your Lighting Planning

To ensure Crop Controller accurately incorporates your lighting plan, configure the settings as follows:

  1. Access the settings via the lighting icon in the sidebar.
  2. Set the duration of the lighting period for each lighting group: Set the start time of the lighting period (the end time will be calculated automatically).
  3. Set the radiation intensity thresholds for each lighting group:
    • Define the intensity level at which the lights will switch off.
    • Define the intensity level at which the lights will switch on again.
